Description: “The one with that hill.” A proper set of trail runs in Jozi that winds though the lush Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens – voted the best place to get back to nature in Gauteng for 9 years in a row – and climbs the relentless ridges of the adjoining Muldersdrift Hobby Park. The 12km and 20km routes which head into the open rocky Highland grassland and include more technical running sections, together with the 6km loop, are all a great challenge to tackle on a Sunday morning. Fiercely competed or enjoyed at a more leisurely pace, both pass by the cascading waterfall and cliffs home to a breeding pair of majestic Verreaux’s Eagles. Bring a picnic and come and enjoy the gardens with us. There will be food and drinks on sale and a jumping castle for the kids.
