Southern Cross Trail Run

The SOX Trail Run is known as the most diverse 3-day trail run in South Africa and takes place in the Garden Route, with 90% of the event taking place in South Africa National Park’s protected property. You will run on pristine hiking trails in the mountain, experience the tranquillity of our indigenous forest and along the stunning coastline of the Garden Route.

While each day’s running will have you marvelling at what the area has to offer, down time will be filled with food stalls, cold beer and live music.

Checking the kids into the kids zone is an added feature so that the whole family can be entertained.

There are 3 options available: SOX Full, SOX Sport, SOX Lite which caters for all fitness levels.

Food, Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA)

The 1st FNSSA is an international scientific conference which has been jointly launched and will be organized by the Agro-Food Industries Alliance (funded by Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt), World Food Program, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT, Alexandria), Alexandria University, Egypt, and IEREK – International Experts for Research Enrichment and Knowledge Exchange in collaboration with Springer as a publishing partner

The event will take place in Cairo from 1st to 3rd December 2019.

The conference will be an opportunity to present and discuss the newest researches related to food, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture, and to shed light on thier relationships with the industry. The scientific committee welcomes contributions from academia and industry.

18km – R330.00 – Includes a boerewors roll at the finish, a branded, technical race cap and finish line, hand made medal.

30km – R480.00 – Includes a boerewors roll at the finish, a branded, technical race cap and finish line, hand made medal.

All three distances are timed. We will have finish line drinks and each finisher will receive a custom made, race branded, coffee coaster cut from exotic/invasive species timber.
ENTRIES CLOSE ON 10 October at midnight, or once the limit is reached.

On Saturday, 8 June 2019, the Stor-Age Festival of Running will see the third edition of this prestige event. SuperSport Park will transform into a running hub and play host to over 2,500 runners. Guaranteed to be a great buzz throughout the entire day with loads of fun activities.

The festival caters for runners of all levels, from social to the more elite runners and offers three different race categories to choose from; namely the Solo Challenge, Relay and Schools Challenge.

The race is a fundraising initiative where all proceeds go towards conserving this precious ridge habitat and all the amazing biodiversity within it.

Sunday morning vibes!

Come and join us at this classic venue with friends, family and colleagues! The Spier Wine Farm Kitchen will be open for these Sunday morning runs. We also change the routes for each run.

DISTANCE OPTIONS:

The 10km is a “trail run” although we do understand most runners walk the hills? Rather enter for the 3km or 5km if you would intend to “walk only”. No dogs/pets
allowed at the venue or on the trails please. Both the 5km and 10km is timed.

The 3km is a non timed walk/jog/fun run.

• You can claim vitality points for the timed events.
• Registration and late-one-the-day entries from 8h00 – 9h15.
• Run briefing – 9h20 for all distances.

>10km – starts 9h30
>5km – 9h40

Online/pre entries close 2 days before the run at 5pm.

PRIZES:

Instead of handing out medals, we donate the money to the “Sidewalk Specials” NPO. They are a non profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitate, sterilize and find homes for animals in need.
