How do I complete the Fitness and Nutrition Assessment?
Fitness and Nutrition Assessments occur once a quarter to gauge improvements in health, fitness as well as strength and body composition.
Why once a quarter? It takes the body roughly 8 - 12 weeks to adapt and progress. During this time you are working hard towards attaining goals in your training and nutrition. The fitness test allows us to see these improvements objectively by giving the body enough time to get fitter, stronger, faster and leaner.
It is up to each member to make their way to the venue for the assessment.
Each member is encouraged to attend as many fitness assessments as they can during the course of the year.
The professionals involved in the assessment will be available for club members to contact should extra attention in certain areas be needed. This, however, will be for each members own account.
The schedule of Fitness and Nutrition Assessments for 2016/2017 is as follows:
Location and Time: To be confirmed via email and newsletter closer to the time.

Why do I need a running license?
All runners competing in races need to have a license. When entering a race, you do have the option of obtaining a temporary license which is valid for one race. It can become costly purchasing a temporary license each time you enter an event. Also, any athlete that wishes to complete a marathon must have a permanent license, temporary licenses are only valid for 10km & 21km events.
